The
chest and cabinet were used starting from Xia, Shang and Zhou
Dynasty. The cabinet at ancient time is not the same with
the one that we see nowadays. It looks the same with the chest
that we see now. "Chest" means the place for storage
inside the carriage during the ancient time. When Han Dynasty,
the definition of chest is clear. It is same with the cabinet
before the Warring States. It was used to collect the clothes
and quilts. After the Jin Dynasty coffer is developed. It
has a pair of front doors. It is used to collect books, clothes
and food etc. Coffer is developed from shelf. People made
boards at the sides and the back of the shelf. And installed
doors at the front. A coffer then was developed. Its high
is the same with the table. Its top can be used as table.
Afterwards, the high of coffer increased. This forms a cabinet.
The cabinets that we show to you are all fine and good in
materials.

carve will maintain the nature appearance of the root. Just
like the man's skill mix with the nature's engineering. There
